Plea to the excellent teachers of Saucon Valley.

You may disagree with me and some of the ideas that I express.  But, please read the posting on the District website of Teacher Contract Negotiations.  http://www.svsdnegotiations.com/

Call for your union to take another vote on this contract.  It is truly an excellent opportunity for the teachers and the district to move forward together.

Anyway it's all a digression from the thread.

You're right Gerry, all the adults in this thread are really acting the part...

I wonder what would happen if the taxpayers like myself banded together with other tax payers, like the teachers union and said we can not or will not pay anymore , I think that the teachers should be glad they even have a job it seems that the teachers think they are entitled to more, more, and more they should learn to do more with less there are a lot of us that in fact do this every day just to get by. If teachers want more than contribute more open up your eyes and your own wallets, this bickering is getting old.

DS, the taxpayers HAVE banded together to say they are tired if the cost increases. It was called an "election", and it happened sometime late last year. The taxpayers elected people who they felt best represent their interests when managing the school district.

DS In the real world people have a choice of hanging in there with a company or taking a job elsewhere. I am confident there are very few if any better compensated teacher jobs AVAILABLE. I am very confident there are many qualified replacement teachers anxious to come to SV. Many of these would be available at a huge savings to taxpayers. I love teachers. I am married to one. She was willing to take 0 % from another local district the last couple of times while on a pay scale far below the one in SV.
