7 Local Restaurants Vie In Chili Cook Off

Chefs from seven local restaurants have submitted their entries for a Chili Cook Off,  hosted by the Saucon Valley Foundation For Educational Innovation (SVFEI), set for 7 p.m. on November 15 at Silver Creek Country Club.

The entries came from: Braveheart, Sagra Bistro, Ricardo’s Tavern House (two entries), St. James Gate, Copperhead Grill, Coopersburg Diner and Silver Creek Country Club. These restaurants will be joined by four local amateur chefs in competing for the top prize.

Tickets for the cook off with a silent auction, a community-wide fundraiser for SVFEI, are now on sale at www.svfoundation.net.

The Cookoff and Silent Auction will run from 7-11 p.m. and local restaurants and amateur chefs (parents and/or community members) are still encouraged to compete. Entry requirements for restaurants include: five gallons of chili. Amateur requirements include: 2 ½ gallons of chili..

Tickets are $40 per person and $75 per couple. Visit www.svfoundation.net to purchase tickets in advance via Pay Pal. The ticket price includes a nacho and soft taco bar and a margarita bar.
