Sandra C. LaPorta, 75, of Hellertown [Obituary]

Sandra C. LaPorta, 75, of Hellertown, died Sunday, May 5, 2013 at the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke's, Lower Saucon Township. She was the wife of Michael W. LaPorta Sr. She was born in Allentown on Feb. 1, 1938 to the late Clinton & Mabel (Sprague) Walck. Sandra worked as a homebound and substitute teacher for the former Hellertown School District. She was an experienced seamstress. She will be sadly missed by everyone who had the opportunity to enjoy her wonderful cooking. Whether it was short notice or a holiday gathering for 20, Sandra never disappointed her guests with her gourmet meals. Sandra was a member of the Church of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, Hellertown.

SURVIVORS

In addition to her loving husband of 54 years; sons: Michael W. Jr. and his wife Vanessa of Bethlehem, James W. and his wife Janice A. of Coopersburg, Jeffrey W. and his wife Arlene of Allentown; grandchildren: Michael W. III, Gabriella, Christina, Julia.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 10 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
