Roderick J. Lewis, 87, died at home in Bethlehem on Dec. 14, 2013.
Roderick J. Lewis, 87, died at home in Bethlehem on Dec. 14, 2013. He was survived by his wife of 66 years, Imelda. Mr. Lewis graduated from Seton Hall University in South Orange, N.J. He taught elementary and high school mathematics at several schools in New Jersey—finishing at West Morris Regional High School—before retiring to the Bethlehem area. For several years he substitute taught at Phillipsburg High School and tutored students privately as well.
SURVIVORS
In addition to his wife; four children: Michael and Karen Lewis of Maine, Andrea Lewis and Jerry Brown of Wyoming, Imelda Lewis and Sammi McPherson of Minnesota, and Chris and Mark Lacatena of New Jersey; brother: Arthur Lewis of Greenbrook, N.J.
SERVICE
Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery of Hellertown. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
