Patrick M. Armatruda, 97, Worked at Steel, Enjoyed Gardening [Obituary]

Patrick P. Armatruda, 97, of Williams Township, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014 at Blough Health Care Center, Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Theresa Julia (Reccek) Armatruda. He was born in Bethlehem on Dec. 14, 1916 to the late Joseph and Mary Armatruda. Patrick worked for 48 years at Bethlehem Steel in the paint department until his retirement. He was a member of the Church of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, Hellertown. Patrick enjoyed gardening.

SURVIVORS

Siblings: Josephine (Vincent) Buttillo and Jennie Slusaw, both of Fountain Hill, and Ann Merwarth in Florida; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings: Rosemary, Louise, Frank, Marie, Lucy and Joseph. 

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6, 2014 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The service will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa's, 1408 Easton Road, Hellertown. The interment will conclude services at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
