Obituary: Robert E. 'Zeke' Ravier, 77, of Upper Saucon

Robert E. "Zeke" Ravier, 77, of Upper Saucon Township, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012.

Robert E. "Zeke" Ravier, 77, of Upper Saucon Township, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012 at his home. He was the husband of Kathleen "Kay" S. (Jamicky) Ravier. He was born in Spring Valley, Upper Saucon Township on Aug. 10, 1935 to the late Charles J. and Minnie E. (Eisenhart) Ravier. He served our country faithfully in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant (T) during the Korean War. He was an agent for Prudential Insurance Agency in Kutztown for 20 years until his retirement. Robert was a member of Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Bethlehem; a life member of VFW Post 9264, Macungie; a member of Spring Valley Sportsmen's Club; a member of Se-Wy-Co Fire Co.; and and honorary member of the Beethoven Waldheim Club, the Puerto Rican Beneficial Society and numerous other organizations. He was one of four original inductees into the Tri-County Baseball League Hall of Fame. He was proud of helping the youth as a Lehigh County Juvenile Probation Councilor for 20 years.

SURVIVORS

In addition to his loving wife of 53 years; sons: John C. and his wife Terry and James R. and his wife Carol, all of Hellertown; siblings: Barbara wife of Allan Richards of Hudson, N.C. and James L. and his wife Karole of Bath; stepsister: Sandra L. Frey of Center Valley; grandsons: Joshua A. and Robert J.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 9 to 10am Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012 at the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 4101 Old Bethlehem Pike, Bethlehem. The calling hour will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
