Obituary: Robert E. Platt II, 78, of Springfield Township

Robert E. Platt II, 78, Springfield Township died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. He was born in Philadelphia on Aug. 3, 1933 to the late Robert Ellsworth and Dorothy May (Price) Platt. Robert had been the owner/operator of Dynacut Inc. in Springtown since 1965. He was a member of the American Scientific Glassblowers Society and the Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors.

Children: Robert J. Platt and his wife LeAnne of Switzerland, Valerie J. wife of David London of Hellertown, Heather L. Platt Young of Springfield Township; sister: Joan wife of Rudolph Pieretti of Wilmington, Del.; grandson: Zachary Robert Platt; former spouse: Shirley Fake Platt.

Service:

The service will be at 11am Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3224 Route 212, Springtown. A visiting hour will be from 10 to 11am Thursday. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
