Obituary: Richard J. Kradjel Sr., 80, of Hellertown

Richard J. Kradjel Sr., 80, of Hellertown, died Jan. 20, 2012.

A man of great stature, with a humble nature and limitless capacity to care for others, a loving husband, father and grandfather, Richard J. Kradjel Sr., 80, of Hellertown, formerly of Ardmore, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2012 at the , Lower Saucon Township. Born in Fountain Hill on June 1, 1931 to the late Peter J. Kradjel and Margaret (Zeleski) Kradjel Kvochak. He was the husband of Bernadine K. Kovalcik. He served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army during peacetime. Richard was the vice president of the legal department for the Franklin Mint, Media, for 30 years until retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Church of the Assumpton of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Colesville, Upper Saucon Township. 

Survivors: 

In addition to his loving wife of 55 years; children: Cynthia Lee Kradjel wife of Raymond A. Pruzinsky of New Rochelle, N.Y., Richard J. Jr. and his wife Barbara A. of Bronxville, N.Y., David J. and his fiancee Debra Eisenberg of New York City; grandchildren: Max Paul V. and Anita K. Pruzinsky, Andrew R. and Brian J. Kradjel.

Service:

A private gathering and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the church. The interment will conclude services at Holy Ghost Cemetery, Bethlehem with military honors. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com. Arrangements are by the .
