Obituary: Laura A. Sherer, 71

Laura A. Sherer, 71, formerly of Allentown, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011 in Lower Saucon Township. She was born in Hellertown on June 14, 1940 to the late Stewart and Mary (Smith) Rumfield. Laura worked at the former Fountain Hill Mills for 25 years and as a billing clerk at Sacred Heart Hospital for 28 years until retiring. She was a 1958 graduate of Liberty High School in Bethlehem. 

SURVIVORS

Daughters: Bonnie Sue, wife of Stephen E. Kutzera of Hellertown, Laurie J., wife of Michael S. Hayduk Jr. with whom she resided; brothers: Kenneth of Allentown, Franklin of Hellertown; 4 grandchildren: Andrew and Jason  Muldowney, and Candace and Stephen Kutzera. 

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2011 at the  326 Main St., Hellertown, followed by the service at 8 p.m. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
