Obituary: John S. Chunko Jr., 81, of Hellertown

John S. Chunko Jr., 81, of Hellertown, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012 at , Hellertown. He was the husband of the late Jane E. (Pearson) Chunko. He was born in Lower Saucon Township on Jan. 8, 1931 to the late John S. Sr. and Helen E. (Limpar) Chunko. John served our country faithfully in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a General Foreman of the Maintenance Department at Bethlehem Steel, retiring in 1991 after 40 years of service. He was a member of , Edward H. Ackerman American Legion Post 397, VFW Post 3094 and , all of Hellertown. 

Survivors:

Children: Michael J. husband of Michele C. of Phoenix, Ariz., Cynthia C. wife of Robert S. McKellin of Bethlehem, Janis L. wife of George A. Cashman of Wolfeboro, N.H.; siblings: Franklin D. "Pint" and his wife Eleanor of Hellertown, Susan Lysek of Doylestown; grandson: Benjamin J. Cashman. He was predeceased by a brother, George. 

Service:

Family and friends are invited to call from noon to 1pm Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012 at the , 1770 Meadows Road, Hellertown.
