John N. Lee, 68, of Washington, N.J., died Sept. 9, 2012. He was the general manager of Neighbors Home & Garden Center in Hellertown before retiring in 2010.

John N. Lee, 68, of Washington, NJ, passed away peacefully Sept. 9, 2012 at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center with his family by his side.
Born: April 1, 1944 in Lakewood, NJ, the son of the late Romaine and Mildred Lee.

Personal: John was a lifelong resident of Washington. He was a manager for Agway Inc., for 35 years, he then was the General Manager of in Hellertown, Pa. before retiring in 2010. John graduated from Washington High School, Class of 1962. John was a gifted athlete who lettered in basketball, baseball and football. Upon graduation, John was offered the opportunity to play for the New York Yankee farm team but chose to attend the University of South Carolina on a full football scholarship. John is considered to be one of the most accomplished athletes ever to graduate from Washington High/Warren Hills and was inducted into the Warren Hills Wall of Fame in 2002. John enjoyed golf, sports, auto racing and attending his grandson’s sports events. He also had a keen interest in world events, politics and helping his customers solve their lawn and garden needs. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He had a beautiful soul and was loved and respected by all who knew him. He will be sadly missed by all.
Survivors: His devoted wife of 43 years, Joanne; two daughters, Camee Lee of Belvidere and Courtney Lee of Finesville, NJ; a son, Cory Lee and his wife Brynn of Washington; a sister, Sandy Wolfe and her husband Bill of SC; a brother, Howard Lee of Mount Bethel, PA; three grandchildren, Taylor, Jared and Joshua.

Services: A viewing will be held on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012 from 1 to 3pm and 6 to 9pm at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012 at 11am at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery on Jackson Valley Road in Washington, NJ 07882.
