Obituary: Jacqueline Burkit, 74, of Bethlehem

Jacqueline Burkit, 74, of Bethlehem, died Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at ManorCare Health Services, Bethlehem. She was the wife of Gerald J. Burkit. She was born in Johnstown on Feb. 14, 1938 to the late Kenneth Paul Gibson and Mary Jane (Mitchell) Gibson. She was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors:

In addition to her loving husband of 42 years; children: Charles E. Rugh (Rosanne) of Bath, Gregory P. Rugh at home, Sandra L. Chasser (Adam) of Allentown, Tammy L. Szabo (Frank) of Freemansburg; brother: Paul Kenneth Gibson of Glen Burnie, Md.; nine granddaughters; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Service:

Family and friends are invited to call from 9 to 10am Friday, May 4, 2012 at the , 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 10am. The interment will conclude services at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
