Obituary: Herman W. Spiegler, 72, of Bethlehem

Herman W. Spiegler, 72, of Bethlehem, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at St. Luke's University Hospital & Health Network, Fountain Hill. He was the husband of Brenda L. (Sauerwine) Spiegler. He was born in Fountain Hill on Feb. 5, 1940 to the late Erwin A. and Elizabeth W. (Lehman) Spiegler. He worked at SureFit, Bethlehem and Alburtis, as a receiver for 40 years until retiring in 2006. Herman served our country faithfully during the Vietnam War.

Survivors:

In addition to his wife of six years; daughters: Tracey L. wife of Daniel S. Gulkewicz of Neffs, Cheryl A. Loch of Allentown; stepsons: Carlton N. Wetzel Jr. and his wife Stephanie of Danielsville, Michael J. Wetzel and his wife Cherie of Macungie, Brian D. Wetzel and his wife Devin of Hanover; five grandchildren; five step-grandchildren. He was predeceased by sisters: Betty Ann and June E.

Service:

Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11am Monday, June 4, 2012 at the , 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11am. Mourners are encouraged to bring a tree ornament to place on a Christmas tree at the service, as Christmas was a very important part of his life.
