Obituary: Gerald A. 'Gerry' Busch, 80, of Hellertown

Gerald A. "Gerry" Busch, 80, of Hellertown, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012.

Gerald A. “Gerry” Busch, 80, of Hellertown, died on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012. Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Leonard and Myrle (Schlegle) Busch. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Selena M. (Benny) Busch.

Gerry was an accomplished architect who designed numerous schools and medical facilities throughout the Lehigh Valley and New Jersey areas. He was a co-owner of both Everett & Busch Architects and Roth Busch Architects. He was most recently employed by MKSD Architects of Allentown. Gerry was an avid fisherman and reader; he loved spending time with his family at the beach.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Selena; sons, Thomas and wife, Heather, David and wife, Mary, and stepson, Jonathan Bartholomew; daughter, Terri L. Rooney and husband, Jeffrey; grandchildren, Nicholas and Jessica Rooney, Taylor, Paige, Lindsay and Jonathan Busch; great-grandchildren, Savanna and Grayson Rooney; brothers, Leonard and wife, Fern, Richard and wife, Joyce, and Donald and wife, Georgene.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, where a visitation will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 9 from 10 to 11am. An 11am memorial service will follow. Burial will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation, 14 E. Sixth Street, First Floor, Lansdale, PA 19446.
