Donald L. Henn, 87, of Hellertown, died Friday, March 30, 2012. He was a World War II Navy veteran.

Donald L. Henn, 87, of Hellertown, died Friday, March 30, 2012 at St. Luke's University Hospital, Fountain Hill. He was the husband of Jeannette M. (Hahn) Henn. He was born in Freemansburg on Oct. 1, 1924 to the late Lester and Anna (Mitman) Henn. Donald served our country faithfully in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a pharmacist's mate serving in the Battle of Iwo Jima. He served the president of the PB and NE Railroad for 30 years until retiring in 1983. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Freemansburg; the Edward H. Ackerman American Legion Post 397, Hellertown; and the .

Survivors:

In addition to his loving wife of 63 years; daughters: Donna L. wife of Jeffrey Cooper of Albany, N.Y., Susan E. wife of Barry Roeschke of Hellertown; son-in-law: Dominic Carrodo of Hellertown; granddaughter: Dina Coffin and her husband Lanny; great-grandchildren: Jeffrey Carrodo and Taylor Coffin. He was predeceased by a daughter: Nancie H. Carrodo (died Dec. 24, 2002) and brothers: Lester and Dale.

Service:

Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11am Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at the , 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11am. The interment will conclude services at . Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
