Kenneth M. Wismer Jr., 70, Was a Vietnam War Veteran [Obituary]

Kenneth M. Wismer Jr., 70, of Springfield Township died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013 at St. Luke's University Hospital, Fountain Hill.

Kenneth M. Wismer Jr., 70, of Springfield Township died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013 at St. Luke's University Hospital, Fountain Hill. He was the husband of the late Carol Ann (Chasar) Wismer, who died July 21, 2003. He was born in Easton on Aug. 29, 1943 to the late Kenneth M. Wismer Sr. and Edith (Mueller) Rodriguez. He served our country faithfully in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Kenneth was a salesman for Thompson Motors Inc., Springtown for many years. Ken was an avid modified stock car racer at various tracks in the area and was a feature winner at Dorney Park and Nazareth Speedway.

SURVIVORS

Daughter: Wendy Wismer (Guy) Young of Wilson; siblings: Kim C. (Brian Hall) Rodriguez of Easton, Kerry (Timothy) Pontrelli of San Diego, Calif., Chris W. (Jane) Wismer, June Wismer Jr., Gladys (Barry) Rodenbough, all of Easton; stepmother: June Wismer Sr. of Easton; nephews: Eric (Barbara) Wismer and Ryan Wismer. He was predeceased by a son Kenneth Mark Wismer III, who died Jan. 17, 2001.

Family and friends are invited to call from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 1 p.m. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
