Joanne M. Horvath, 69, of Hellertown [Obituary]

Joanne M. Horvath, 69, of Hellertown, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at St. Luke's University Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of Gary T. Horvath. She was born in Fountain Hill on Dec. 8, 1943 to the late Frederick and Virginia (Chovan) Yochum. Joanne taught elementary education in the Bethlehem Area School District for 32 years, retiring in 1999. She was a 1961 Liberty High School graduate, a 1965 West Chester University graduate in elementary education, and she earned a Master's Degree from Lehigh University. Joanne loved the pool and the “pool girls” at the Club.

SURVIVORS

In addition to her loving husband of 45 years; daughter: Jessica M. Horvath wife of Leonard Lysakowski of Chadds Ford; brother: Frederick and his wife Marianne of Hellertown. She was predeceased by a sister: Cynthia Snyder. 

SERVICE
