James Smith Abbott died Friday, April 19, 2013.

James Smith Abbott, 60, of Haycock Township, died Friday, April 19, 2013 at Arden Courts, Allentown. He was the husband of Susan Miller Abbott. He was born in Binghamton, N.Y. on July 31, 1952 to James C. Abbott and Mary H. (Smith) Abbott of Myrtle Beach, S.C. James owned and operated JS Abbott Associates Inc., in association with Guzzetti, SpA of Milan, Italy. He attended Richland Monthly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends, Quakertown. Jim was an enthusiastic gardener, cyclist and golfer. 

SURVIVORS

In addition to his loving wife of 25 years; brothers: Mark and his wife Debra of Chambersburg, Matthew and his wife Paula of Pittsburgh; sisters: Gwyn Schwartz of Reading, Ann wife of George Weisel of Saylorsburg, Nancy Whitehead of Wilmington, N.C.; nieces and nephews.

SERVICE

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the Richland Friends Meetinghouse, South Main Street at Mill Road, Quakertown. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmanfh.com. The Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown, is in charge of arrangements.
