Gladys Wohlbach, 93, Was a Longtime Quilter [Obituary]

Gladys Wohlbach, 93, of Hellertown, passed away on Nov. 30, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Stanley H. Wohlbach for more than 55 years before his death in October.

Gladys Wohlbach, 93, of Hellertown, passed away on Nov. 30, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Stanley H. Wohlbach for more than 55 years before his death in October. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Elizabeth (Jendricks) Hafner. She worked in the textile industry at several factories in the Bethlehem area. Gladys was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Hellertown. She was also a longtime quilter and past president of the quilters group at Friedens Lutheran Church in Center Valley. She was a member of the Harmony Grange #1962 in Pennsville and the Upper Saucon Senior Center.

Survivors: A brother, Wilbur J. Hafner of Bethlehem; and nieces and nephews: Richard Hafner, Shirley Fulmer and Nancy Smith all of Bethlehem, and David Hafner of Terre Hill. She was predeceased by a brother Ralph when he was very young.

Services: Will be held privately. She will be interred with her parents and brother in Friedens Lutheran Church Cemetery.
