Bernadine E. (Yastrop) Hock, 79, of Lower Saucon Township, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014 at VNA Hospice House of St. Luke's, Lower Saucon Township.

Bernadine E. (Yastrop) Hock, 79, of Lower Saucon Township, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014 at VNA Hospice House of St. Luke's, Lower Saucon Township. She was the wife of the late James Hock, who died Sept. 30, 2011. She was born in Allentown on Feb. 2, 1934 to the late John and Mary (Kalavoda) Yastrop. Bernadine worked for 38 years for Wood-Sodexo in food services, working at Allentown College (DeSales University) and retiring in 2004. She enjoyed being around and working with the college students, keeping her young at heart.

SURVIVORS

Loving daughter: Kathryn M. wife of Glen K. Fenstermacher of Lower Saucon Township; grandchildren: Katrina, Charles and Rachel; sisters: Susan wife of Robert Cooper of New Tripoli, Patricia of Bethlehem; brothers: John and his wife Marie Yastrop of Catasauqua, Thomas and his wife Janet of Northampton; nieces and nephews.

SERVICE

A memorial luncheon will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, followed by a service of remembrance at New Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3233 Apples Church Road, Bethlehem. The Rev. Tricia A. McMackin will officiate at the service. A private graveside service will be held at the Union Cemetery of Hellertown. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com. The Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown, is in charge of arrangements.
