When is the Dewey Fire Co. Santa Run?

Santa will cruise the streets of Hellertown borough for several hours, handing out candy canes, asking about wish lists and bringing smiles to almost everyone he sees.

When is Santa coming to tour Hellertown on a Dewey Fire Co. firetruck?

You can expect to see him on Sunday, Dec. 15, shortly after noon, according to fire company volunteers.

Santa will cruise the streets of the borough for several hours, handing out candy canes, asking about wish lists and bringing smiles to almost everyone he sees.

The firetrucks will use their sirens to help alert neighborhoods to Santa's arrival.

The fire company has also offered to help deliver gifts along the route. To contact them about this, call (610) 838-0161.

We stood outside when we heard the sirens. We saw the fire truck coming up Magnolia. We saw, through the houses and tree, Santa on the firetruck going down Northampton(My children jumping up and down having caught a glimpse). We heard the fire truck heading up Walnut. We waited. My children were busting at the seams with excitement. We waited. Santa never came down our street as he has every other year we've been here. My 4 year old was heartbroken. It was hard to comfort him. But we told him that maybe Mrs. Class called Santa on his phone and needed him to come home. We were all disappointed. Maybe Next year.

@Perry... That's a bummer. :( I wasn't able to ride along on the Santa Run this year, unfortunately, but I have ridden with the Dewey firefighters (and Santa) in the past and I can honestly tell you they try hard to hit as many streets as they can. And it's not easy because a lot of the streets are narrow (and snow makes them narrower). I don't know why they weren't able to go down your block, but I'm sure if they had known there were kids waiting there they would have tried...
