The Hellertown Historical Society hosted its annual Holiday Open House on two consecutive evenings last weekend at the Heller-Wagner Grist Mill on Walnut Street in the borough.

Highlights of the well-attended open house included performances by Lehigh Valley Idols such as the Gilbert Family singers, a vintage toy train display in the nearby Miller's House and refreshments.

The HHS also has special holiday-themed events scheduled for this weekend, including Holiday Shopping at the Mill on Sunday at noon on the first floor of the grist mill.

Last minute holiday gifts will be available for purchase from vendors as Tastefully Simple, Mary Kay Cosmetics and the Society's own Gift Store.

Children of all ages are invited to visit Santa Claus in the adjacent room from the Tavern Room on Sunday while the Holiday Shopping event is taking place.

Santa and his antique sleigh will be available for photos (minimal donation for each photo). Light refreshments and music will be offered, and the Vintage Toy Train Display in the basement of the Miller's House will again be open for viewing.

Sunday's special events are free to attend and open to the general public.
