L. Saucon Police Will Hand Out Candy During Trick-or-Treat

In addition to extra patrols, the Lower Saucon Township Police Department will help make Trick-or-Treat night in the township a little merrier by handing out candy.

In addition to extra patrols, the Lower Saucon Township Police Department will help make Trick-or-Treat night in the township a little merrier by handing out candy, according to a news release.

"In addition to their usual equipment, a generous donation has allowed our officers to be armed with candy to distribute as well, so when you see an officer in your neighborhood, feel free to approach them and ask for a treat," the release said.

Trick-or-Treat in Lower Saucon Township and Hellertown will be held Friday, Oct. 25 from 6 to 8 p.m.

In advance of Trick-or-Treat night, the township has posted Trick-or-Treat safety tips on its website.

For example, motorists are being urged to drive cautiously through neighborhoods where there may be Trick-or-Treaters, and children and parents are being encouraged to carry glow sticks and/or flashlights, so they are more easily seen.
