The Dutch Country 15-Mile Bicycle Race and 5-Mile Bicycle Races

This classic citizens’ race (one of the only ones available anywhere NEAR Berks County) is set in the rolling farmlands of Tilden Township (near the Cabela’s in Hamburg) and offers a fast-paced 15-mile race for serious competitive cyclists as well as a 5-mile fun race geared towards beginners,casual cyclists and families. The course is closed to traffic during the event and features a challenging but fun ride full of hills, hairpin turns and amazing views of the countryside.

Pre-reg entry fees for the 15-mile race are $17 and the 5-mile family race is ONLY $5! You won’t find a better bargain anywhere!  Add a great tech shirt for $15 or a 50/50 shirt for $5.  Pre-reg deadline is Sunday July 21st.

From I-78 Exit 29, take PA Route 61 to Lowland Road (the traffic light at the Wawa north of Hamburg).  Turn LEFT (west) onto Lowland Road and stay to the right as you pass Wawa and Wal-Mart.  At the next stop sign, turn RIGHT onto Mountain Road. Continue on Mountain Road approximately 3 miles to Blue Mountain Academy (2363 Mountain Road).  Look for signs and volunteers directing participants to parking.

Race registration opens at 8:00, closes at 8:50 and the races start at 9:00.

PRICES for the 15-Mile Race: $17.00 if received by July 21, 2013, $20.00 after July 21, 2013.  Add a short-sleeved tech shirt for $15.00 or a 50/50 T-shirt for $5.00.
PRICES for the 5-Mile Race: $5.00, add a short-sleeved T-shirt for $5.00 more. QUAD Games hooded sweatshirts also available for $20.

PRIZES for the 15-Mile Race: Individual 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Prizes for both males and females awarded in the following age categories: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and over 60.  $25 Grand Prize for the fastest Individual male and female time will be awarded.
PRIZES for the 5-Mile Race:  Individual 1st Place Prizes for both males and females awarded in the following age categories: 0-9, 10-15, 16-32, 33-49 and over 50.

The QUAD Games are a series of four events with two courses at each event to offer something for everyone – no matter your level of experience. Try one or do them all!

As with previous QUAD Games, we have great courses; registrant goodie bags; cash prizes for the fastest male and female Extreme racers and a generous slate of awards for both races and the series; plenty of drinks, fruit and baked goodies to replenish the body; plenty of door prize drawings; DJ Steel Thunder providing post-race entertainment, as well as post-race activities for the kids. New this year, we’ll have a free lunch courtesy of Red Robin for all registered participants and volunteers. Sunday September 29,2013  The “U Can DU It” Sprint Duathlon and the Family Mini-Duathlon, Tilden Elementary School, Tilden Township

Pre-register at least one week before race day for the price break.  You can register on race day.  Registration and pre-reg packet pick up is open from 8:00 am to 8:45 am on race day.
