Weidner is a retired middle school English teacher who caught the history bug more than a decade ago. He has written several articles about the history of Saucon Valley for The Valley Voice and Hellertown Patch. Weidner wrote the books Hellertown, Lower Saucon and Saucon Secrets. His latest book, , is a colorful collection of his entertaining articles and amazing photographs. Local history buffs must have this book in their collection.
