     Artist Betty
Knesevitch is a resident of Lehighton. As an impressionist painter she loves
the spontaneity and jewel-like hues of watercolor, which creates lightheartedness
in her work. She has studied with nationally known artists, such as, Frank
Webb, Skip Lawrence, Don Andrews, and Robert Woods.

     Betty’s
paintings will be on display from Saturday, October 5 through Sunday, December
15. Open Saturdays and Sundays 1 pm to 4 pm (Sundays, 12 to 3 pm, May -
November).

     Heller
Homestead Docents, dressed in vintage clothing, will take visitors on a
“Journey through Time ~ Room by Room” at the historic Heller Homestead.  Rooms with period furnishings will offer
guests a chance to experience the past as they step back in time to see
treasures from a bygone era.  The Widow’s
House has three rooms to view representing the 1850s through the 1900s and
features a beehive oven in the kitchen.
The Heller House offers a 1950s Kitchen, a 1930s Living Room, a 1900s
Bedroom, and a 1880s Victorian Parlor.

     Decorated
Christmas trees will be on display reflecting the progression of ornamentation
available to German families throughout the years.

     Free and open
to the public. Refreshments served. Volunteer opportunities are available. For
