Railroad Structure's Removal to Affect 412 Traffic

PennDOT says the removal of an overhead railroad structure that spans Route 412 in South Bethlehem will impact overnight traffic on the artery from April 4 through April 10.

Motorists who travel the Route 412 corridor in South Bethlehem should expect delays and use caution driving between Shimersville Road and Emery Street from 7pm to 6am, April 4 through April 10, PennDOT announced in a news release Monday.

According to PennDOT, lane restrictions with flagging will be in place in that area "for the removal of an overhead railroad structure."

PennDOT said the work is part of an ongoing $35.9 million Route 412 widening project that began in March 2012.
