Lehigh Valley Air Quality Alert for Dec. 31

Anyone sensitive to air pollution should avoid outdoor exertion

Warmer temperatures may be tempting but Lehigh Valley residents sensitive to air pollution should limit their outdoor activity Friday, according to the Air Quality Partnership website.

The temperature will rise into the mid- to upper 40s and skies will be partly sunny. But weather conditions and particles in the air will be such that a "Code Orange" alert has been issued by air quality monitors.
