Five Things I Love About Hellertown

Here's a list of five free things that I love about Hellertown!

Hey there,

I'm a Hellertownite (is that a word?) and I'd like to share with you five lovely things I adore about living in Hellertown. Word to the wise: I've lived here for six years and am still finding out about the cool stuff here!?!

1.) : I have gotten plenty of use from the rail trail this past summer. I love that there is shade in the summer, vibrant foilage in the fall and a tranqil stream all year round. I also love getting the chance to be nosy and look into people's back yards--oh c'mon, don't try to pretend you dont do the same. The views are beautiful, the trail is safe and my goal is to acquire a bike with a little caboose in the back to lug around the kids. I've only had the benefit of tromping through the trail with an old-fashioned (aka '80s) double stroller. But alas we got with the times and were genereously rewarded with a hip brand new jogging stroller. (Thanks Mom! Thanks Dad!)

2.) : Who doesn't love going to a shaded park for an afternoon playtime? But the playground isnt the only reason I love it. Here are a few more reasons I love this place:

* . What's that? FREE movie? FREE popcorn? FREE drinks? Righteous!

3.)  Yes, it's small, but in a cute and cozy way. Plus they offer a lot of cool things! Here are the ones that i can think of, just off the top of my head:

* Story hour

* Gardening

* Special speakers

* Workout times with my friends, Ali and

4.)  All season I just enjoy them, and so do the kids and the hubby.

5.)  There are lots of geocaching sites in Hellertown. Some are behind the trails hidden behind the rail trail. (Is that confusing? There are bike trails behind , in the woods, by the stream...now you're really confused arent you?) You can trade some of the caches and our older daughter loves doing that!

Any local places you especially love? There is sooo much more that I love about our little town and all it has to offer, but you'll just have to wait for more...till I blog again!
