Wayne Newton Coming to Bethlehem

'Mr. Las Vegas' Wayne Newton will perform at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center April 20.

Wayne Newton will perform at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 8pm.

After more than 50 years of entertaining audiences on the Las Vegas strip, the one and only “Mr. Las Vegas” will bring his iconic show to Bethlehem as part of a national tour. 

Tickets to see Newton live at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center went on sale Dec. 14 and can be purchased at sandseventcenter.com, the Event Center box office, Ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster outlets or by phone at 800-745-3000.

Newton’s life has unfolded on stage before more than 40 million fans worldwide. Since an early age, Wayne has been synonymous with Sin City, after his first headlining show shattered attendance records for casino entertainment. The award-winning performer has headlined shows in numerous major casinos on the Vegas strip, including the Flamingo Hotel, Stardust and the Tropicana.

His repertoire of songs includes the 1972 hit “Daddy, Don’t You Walk So Fast,” which hit No. 4 on the Billboard chart, as well as his signature “Danke Schoen,” which debuted in 1963.

Newton's acting career has several film credits, including “Vegas Vacation,” “Ocean’s Eleven” and “Smokin’ Aces.” Newton can also be seen on television in episodes of NBC’s “Las Vegas,” “According to Jim” and “LA Law.” In 2007, Newton competed on the ABC hit show “Dancing With The Stars.”
