PPL Introduces Mobile Power Outage Reporting

Just in time for spring storm season, electric outage reporting for PPL Electric Utilities customers is now mobile-friendly.

PPL Electric Utilities has a new way for its customers to report or check on a power outage.

The company announced March 6 that it has rolled out a new mobile website, m.pplelectric.com, that allows customers to use a smartphone or other mobile device to access and use key features of the utility's online Outage Center.

These features include:

  • Viewing outage information for the entire service area

"More and more customers are using smartphones and other mobile devices to access information or conduct business on the go," said Connie Walker, manager of Customer Communications and Education for PPL Electric Utilities. "This new initiative enhances the mobile channel to make it even easier for customers to reach us."

If customers go to www.pplelectric.com from their mobile device, they will automatically be redirected to the new, mobile-friendly site--no downloaded apps are required.
