New Lower Saucon Fitness Center Expected to Open in January

N-Tensity Fitness in the Creekside Marketplace shopping center on Rt. 412 in Lower Saucon Township will be unique among gyms in the area, co-owner Elaine Barone says.

A new fitness center will soon open in the Creekside Marketplace (Giant) shopping center on Rt. 412 in Lower Saucon Township.

N-Tensity Fitness is described by co-owner Elaine Barone as "a unique fitness club that focuses on high intensity interval training."

"All of our classes at N-Tensity Fitness are facilitated by certified personal trainers who will coach, motivate and help get members the results they have been looking for while having fun at the same time," Barone said in an email. "Each member will wear a wireless heart monitor which will monitor their personal NTense Heart Rate Zone, and they will be able to see how many calories they burned after each class. We will use a combination of cardio (adaptive motion trainers, rowers) and strength training equipment (kettle bells, suspension training) to maximize member results and keep their body guessing."

Barone said N-Tensity Fitness will likely have a "soft opening" in mid-late January and an official grand opening in February.

She expects the hours of operation to be Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

She said N-Tensity Fitness will offer clients several membership packages on a month-to-month basis with no cancellation fee, drop-in rates or workout cards.

"We will also offer a full line of nutritional supplements and beverages, she said. And anyone who signs up for a membership will receive a gym bag, towel and water bottle.

Another amenity N-Tensity Fitness is planning to provide is flat screen monitors, where members can see their own calorie burn rates while they're exercising.

"There is no other fitness center in the Lehigh Valley area that offers High Intensity Interval Training facilitated by personal trainers, but without the typical high cost that comes with a personal training session," Barone said. "No other fitness center in the Lehigh Valley area gives their members the ability to monitor their own personal NTense Heart Rate Zone."

She invited local residents to follow N-Tensity Fitness on Facebook, where the business is posting regular progress updates.

A website for the business—www.ntensityfitness.com—is already up and running.
