Local Business Owner to Address Chamber Members

Last year was a difficult one for many local business owners, but some Saucon Valley businesses are thriving in spite of a weak economy.

One of those businesses is , whose will discuss "How to Increase Sales in a Down Economy" at a Business-to-Business Networking Luncheon presentation to the Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber of Commerce on Jan. 26.

Saucon Valley Bikes, which is located at 824 Main St., is a 13-year-old Hellertown business that sells, rents and repairs bicycles and caters to a diverse clientele.

In an interview with Patch last year, LaBrake cited his commitment to providing customers with the service and product selection they desire as one of the reasons Saucon Valley Bikes has continued to grow, in both size and reputation.

"That's one of the reasons we have customers coming from Stroudsburg and New Jersey and all over," he said in April.

A registration form distributed by the chamber indicates that LaBrake will discuss "strategies he has used to remain successful in such a tough economic climate" at the event.

The chamber luncheon will be held from 11:30am to 1pm at , 430 Main St., Hellertown, and attendees must register to attend by Jan. 20. A variety of menu choices will be available.
