If you want to ring in 2013 with a party, you don't have to plan one yourself or hope that a generous friend will invite you to theirs. And bonus, you won't have to leave the Saucon Valley to attend a rockin' one.
That's because Smokin' Outlaw BBQ is planning a New Year's bash that will be held (conveniently enough) at the Dewey Fire Co. Social Hall in Hellertown.
"Dancin’, Drinkin’, & Quein’ in the New Year" will feature music (plus an LED and laser light show) by DJ Slick Vic and lots of food prepared by Smokin' Outlaw BBQ, a Hellertown-based catering company that specializes in barbecued meats.
On the menu for Dec. 31, 2012 are items such as:
- Jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon
- Smoked bacon baked beans
- Italian redskin potato salad
- Wood-smoked meats including pulled pork, homemade Italian sausage and chicken, served with four homemade sauces
In addition to the wide array of food planned, tickets include draft beer, wine and party favors, and a cash bar will be available.
Tickets are available for $45 each and can be ordered by texting or calling Smokin' Outlaw BBQ founder Eric Neith at 484-239-9130 or by emailing him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Party-goers must be 21 or older to attend and tickets must be ordered in advance (up to 200 tickets will be sold in advance).
The party will begin at 7pm and last until 1am.
Smokin' Outlaw BBQ recently contributed the food for a cancer charity fundraiser that was held at Beer Mussels, and the catering company also sponsored a Labor Day party at the Lower Saucon Sportsmen's Association.
