Former Dry Cleaner's Could Become Storage Facility

A proposal to turn a former dry cleaning business at 46 W. Water St., Hellertown, into an indoor storage facility will be considered by the Hellertown Zoning Hearing Board on July 17.

At its Wednesday, July 17 meeting, the Hellertown Zoning Hearing Board will consider an application to turn a former dry cleaning business at 46 W. Water St. into an indoor storage facility.

A variance is needed to convert the building into a storage center, because that's a non-permitted use under the borough's zoning code.

The building is located in the Town Center zoning district.

The applicant for the variance is Robert Singley of Allentown, according to an advance meeting agenda.

The zoning hearing board will meet at 6:30 p.m. in Hellertown Borough Hall, 685 Main St.
