Local Celebrities to Participate in Rotary Club of Saucon Fundraising Event

Local Lehigh Valley celebrities will lend a hand to the Rotary Club of Saucon’s upcoming Celebrity Bartending Event, proceeds of which will go to support the Club’s programs. The event will be held at , Route 378, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012 from 6-8 pm. Included in the celebrity roster are:

  • Dave Doll (Martin Guitar and The Beautiful Distortion band member)
  • Chris Line (Local radio/TV host, currently to be heard on Cat Country 96.1/ WLEV)
  • George Wacker (LehighValleywithLove.com Blog)
  • Silagh White (Zoellner Arts Center, Lehigh University)
  • Linda Young (Formerly of St. Luke's University Health Network and an officer of the Rotary Club of Saucon)

As well as:

  • Amanda Fabrizio (Lehigh University & President of the Rotary Club of Saucon)
  • Tony Jannetta (District Governor of Rotary District 7430)

Celebrity bartenders will serve wine and beer to Starters patrons, and all proceeds from the event will go to support Rotary Club of Saucon programs such as eradicating polio (PolioPlus), their high school international youth exchange program, their Book Fairy book project for disadvantaged students in the Lehigh Valley, and other community-related projects.

In addition, Starters Pub has offered The Rotary Club of Saucon participation in its Dine to Donate program, where it donates 10% of all purchases made from Aug. 13, 2012 to Sept. 13, 2012 to the club. Patrons must present a Dine to Donate voucher, which can be obtained by visiting the Rotary Club of Saucon’s website at: Rotaryclubofsaucon.blogspot.com.

For more than 25 years, Rotary International has played a major role in the fight to end polio worldwide, contributing more than $800 million to the effort through its PolioPlus program.
