Defense Contractor to Build Facility Near Hellertown

Defense contractor Curtiss-Wright has announced plans to build a 179,000-square-foot facility in South Bethlehem, not far from Hellertown.

According to an article published by the Express-Times, U.S. defense contractor Curtiss-Wright has announced plans to build a 179,000-square-foot manufacturing, warehousing, testing and office facility near the Route 412 interchange on I-78, which is the primary exit for Hellertown and South Bethlehem.

The company currently operates a facility in Phillipsburg, N.J., and will employ 95 people in high-paying manufacturing jobs at the new facility, which is expected to open in about 18 months, according to the article.
