Aging PPL Power Line to Be Rebuilt

PPL has announced that the aging Hosensack-Seidersville transmission line—which serves customers in Upper Saucon and Lower Milford townships—will be rebuilt.

The line also delivers electricity to PPL customers in Lower Saucon and Salisbury townships.

According to a statement posted on the Lower Saucon Township website, the project is part of ongoing efforts by PPL to make electric service more reliable in the region.

"In the coming weeks and months, you may notice small crews along the PPL Electric Utilities right of way conducting preliminary studies, such as surveying, wetland identification and other work," the township said.

Additional details about the project are expected to be announced in the future.
