When is the Saucon Valley Spirit Parade?

The Saucon Valley Spirit Parade (formerly the Hellertown Halloween Parade) will soon be marching down Main Street in the borough. This year it will be combined with the 4-County Firemen's Parade.

It's no longer the Hellertown Halloween Parade—but the Saucon Valley Spirit Parade is just as much fun.

The annual parade, which is a true Saucon Valley tradition, will march on Main Street in the borough on Sunday, Oct. 20 starting at 2 p.m.

This year the parade will be expanded to include the 4-County Firemen's Parade, featuring dozens of fire trucks and other equipment from municipalities throughout Northampton, Lehigh, Carbon and Monroe counties.

An entire weekend of fun, family-friendly activities—the Spirit Weekend—has also been planned around this year's parade.

Some of the highlights will be:

  • Fireworks
  • A "Show Your Spirit Dance" at the Saucon Valley Community Center
  • A concert by the Allentown Band in Dimmick Park
  • A 5K race
  • A motorcycle poker run
  • Vera Bradley/Coach Bingo
  • A car/truck show
For a complete lineup of what's planned, including dates and times, visit the Saucon Valley Spirit website.

This year's parade route will be the same as last year's.

Lineup will take place on Walnut Street near the Saucon Valley School District campus.

The marchers will then proceed down Walnut to Main Street, which will be closed between Walnut and Water streets during the parade.

The route will take the parade north on Main to Water, where it will turn east and proceed to Constitution Avenue via Rentzheimer Drive and Durham Street.

The route will end near the schools, at the completion of the "loop."
