Music For the Market Hits Easton Saturday

The Easton Farmers' Market will hold its first-ever benefit concert this weekend.

"Music for the Market" is scheduled for Saturday from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Bank Street Annex in downtown Easton, and will feature acoustic performances from several local singer-songwriters and bands.

Peformers include Doug Hawk, Nick Levinos, Alex Radus, Dave Cahill, Joe Cassady, Scott Harrington, Carter Lansing, Joe Wagner, Displaced Peoples, School of Rock Bank Street Band and High Street House Band (featuring Rian and Bill Carr and Chelsea Carle).

Tickets are $20, or $60 if you want to hang out in Weyerbacher Brewing's VIP lounge. (The second option offers, according to a press release from the market, "private seating, Weyerbacher beer, farm-to-table appetizers and intimate performances by rare acoustic duos.")

Tickets are available at Pearly Baker’s, the farmers' market Winter Mart (which runs Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Nurture Nature Center) or online at www.EastonFarmersMarket.com.

  • Comedian Ron White plays two shows Friday night (7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.) at the State Theatre.
