Last Minute Lineup Change for Second Sunday Concert

Instead of Philadelphia Funk Authority, attendees at the final Second Sunday concert in Hellertown's Dimmick Park this Sunday will see Mike Dugan and June Thomas perform.

An invitation to Philadelphia Funk Authority to perform on national television Sunday night has necessitated a last minute lineup for a free Hellertown concert.

The Hellertown Enhancement Project announced this week that instead of PFA—which was released from its HEP contract to pursue the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity—the main act performing at this Sunday's free "Second Sunday" concert in Dimmick Park will be Mike Dugan (pictured, above) and June Thomas.

Dugan is a well-established blues guitarist and Thomas is a jazz vocalist/pianist who has performed with regional jazz and R&B artists for more than 20 years, according to their biographies posted online.

The final Second Sunday concert will begin with a 5:30 p.m. preshow performance by KeyStone A Cappella.

Refreshments will be sold in the park pavilion.

Attendees should bring their own lawn chairs or blankets for seating on the grass.
