A “Meet the Artist Reception” featuring the paintings of Kay Stauffer will be hosted by the Saucon Valley Conservancy at on Monday, June 2, 2012, 7 – 9 pm. The Exhibit runs Saturday, June 2 through Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012.

Artist Kay Stauffer of New Tripoli is a multi-faceted, talented artist and instructor of the arts. She paints plein air landscapes and flowers from her garden in watercolor, acrylic and oil. Kay is a graduate of Kutztown State College and has taught both elementary school in Easton and high school in Wyalusing, Pa.

The Art Gallery at the Heller Homestead and the Antiques and Collectibles Gift (Consignment) Shop are free and open to the public on most weekends & during special events during March 3 to Dec. 16, 2012. We are closed most holiday weekends. Saturday and Sunday hours: 1 to 4 pm (Sundays, 12 to 3 pm, May - November). Proceeds benefit the Saucon Valley Conservancy, Inc. Due to an unexpected circumstance, the Art Gallery and Gift Shop may be closed. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Tours of the Heller Homestead Museum “A Journey in Time” are available by appointment (donations greatly appreciated).

A Northampton County Passport to History participant: The year-round 2012 Passport to History offers 260 years of Northampton County history in 26+ stops. The limited edition Passports are now available, free of charge, by the nineteen participating historical organizations and sites of Northampton County, Pa. Take your passport with you, as you visit each site. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Michael Heller Homestead is located just off the popular at 1890-92 Friedensville Road (Water Street), in Lower Saucon Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. It is approximately one half mile west of Route 412 and Water Street in Hellertown. Turn west on Water Street, which becomes Friedensville Road in Lower Saucon Township. Go across the Water Street Bridge. The Heller Homestead is on the left adjacent to the Saucon Creek and opposite Creek Road. Parking is available on site and at the nearby .
