Avoid Rt. 412 If You're Going to Musikfest

PennDOT officials and Musikfest organizers are hoping to limit congestion along the Route 412 corridor between I-78 and Bethlehem's south side.

PennDOT officials and Musikfest organizers are advising Musikfest 2013 attendees to avoid using Rt. 412 to reach festival events in Bethlehem or risk getting caught up in congestion, according to an article published by the Express-Times.

The state road—which serves as a major conduit between I-78 and the city—is currently under construction as part of a three-year, $36 million widening project.

Traffic at the north end of Hellertown, on the south side of the I-78 interchange, has also been impacted by the project.

Motorists from outside the city are being advised to take Route 33 to Route 22 to Route 378 South in order to reach the festival, according to the Express-Times story.
