Winter Weather Advisory Issued

Two to three inches of snow are possible late tonight through Saturday evening, according to the National Weather Service.

You probably didn't ask for it--but we're all about to get it, according to the National Weather Service.

The "it" is another round of winter weather, forecast to begin late tonight and continue throughout the day on Saturday.

To help local residents prepare for the upcoming onslaught the National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for both snow and ice.

The advisory, which will be in effect from 1am to 10pm Saturday, urges anyone planning to travel tomorrow to exercise caution.

Two to three inches of frozen precipitation are possible, with higher amounts expected to fall north of the Lehigh Valley. A winter weather advisory for as much as four inches of snow has been issued for Carbon and Monroe counties.

In the Lehigh Valley the precipitation may change to rain for a brief time Saturday afternoon before changing back to snow Saturday evening, the weather service is predicting.

Another winter weather event is possible Tuesday, and beyond that the possibility of more snow exists on Thursday.
