Where to Expect Road Work This Week: April 2-6, 2012

PennDOT has announced the following scheduled road work in the Saucon Valley area.

This week the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that the following road projects will be taking place in the Saucon Valley area (all projects are weather dependent):

  • On Monday, April 2, a lane restriction will be in effect on I-78 west between Exit 75 (Route 611) and Exit 71 (Route 33) in Williams and Lower Saucon townships. The restriction is for an inspection by PennDOT bridge inspection forces, as well as litter removal and bridge cleaning by PennDOT maintenance forces. It will be in effect from 9am to 3pm and motorists should expect delays.
  • On Monday, April 2, PennDOT maintenance forces will be making base repairs, cutting brush and removing litter on Lower Saucon Road between Easton and Applebutter roads in Lower Saucon Township. Motorists should expect lane restrictions with flagging between 9am and 3pm and use caution while driving through any work zone.
  • On Tuesday, April 3, a lane restriction will be in effect on I-78 east between Exit 71 (Route 33) and Exit 75 (Route 611) in Lower Saucon and Williams townships. The 9am to 3pm restriction is for an inspection by PennDOT bridge inspection forces, as well as litter removal and bridge cleaning by PennDOT maintenance forces. Motorists should expect delays and use caution while driving through any work zone.
  • On Wednesday, April 4, a lane restriction will be in effect on I-78 west between Exit 67 (Route 412) and Exit 71 (Route 33) in the City of Bethlehem and Lower Saucon Township. The 9am to 3pm restriction is for an inspection by PennDOT bridge inspection forces, as well as litter removal and bridge cleaning by maintenance forces. Motorists should expect delays and use caution while driving through any work zone.
  • On Wednesday, April 4 and Thursday, April 5, PennDOT maintenance forces will be patching potholes, removing litter and cleaning drains on Route 412 (Leithsville Road) between the Bucks County line and Polk Valley Road in Lower Saucon Township. Lane restrictions with flagging will be in place from 9am to 3pm, and motorists should use caution while driving through any work zones.
  • On Friday, April 6, lane restrictions will be in effect on Island Park Road between Lower Saucon and Berger roads in Lower Saucon and Williams townships. The 9am to 3pm restrictions with flagging will be for base repairs, brush cutting and litter removal by PennDOT maintenance forces. Motorists should use caution while driving through any work zones.
