Where to Expect Road Work: Sept. 12-16

PennDOT has announced the following scheduled road work in the Saucon Valley area.

This week, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that the following road projects will be taking place in the local area:

  • Between Monday, Sept. 12 and Wednesday, Sept. 14, PennDOT maintenance forces will be working on Raubsville Road/Easton Road between Route 611 in Williams Township and Cherry Lane in Hellertown, as part of a road shoulder/widening project. The work will be performed between 9am and 2pm and motorists should expect lane restrictions with flagging. Rain could delay the project, which has been scheduled and delayed for the past two weeks.
  • On Thursday, Sept. 15, PennDOT maintenance forces will be working on Lower Saucon Road between Applebutter and Easton/Raubsville roads, as part of a road shoulder/widening project. The work will be performed between 9am and 2pm and motorists should expect lane restrictions with flagging. Rain could delay the project, which has been scheduled and delayed for the past two weeks.
  • On Friday, Sept. 16, PennDOT maintenance forces will be working on Applebutter/Island Park roads between Shimersville Road in the City of Bethlehem and Berger Road in Williams Township, as part of road shoulder/widening project. The work will be performed between 9am and 2pm and motorists should expect lane restrictions with flagging. The work will encompass the portion of Applebutter Road in Lower Saucon Township. Rain could delay the project.
  • An eastbound lane restriction will be in place on I-78 at Exit 71 (Route 33) in Lower Saucon Township while PennDOT bridge inspection forces conduct an inspection from 9am to 3pm on Monday, Sept. 12.
