What Would You Like to Improve in Saucon Valley in 2014?

If you could make a New Year's resolution for Hellertown or Lower Saucon Township, what would it be?

More than 45 percent of Americans make a New Year's resolution each year, according to statisticbrain.com. Some vow to live a healthier lifestyle, others promise to spend more time with family, and many say they'll try to save money.

As millions of Americans work to keep resolutions to improve their personal lives, take a moment to think about what could be done to improve the overall quality of life in the Saucon Valley.

What is on your wish list for your community? What is one thing you would like to see improved in 2014?

I would like to see the old A&P/Pathmark building out on Route 378 between Seidersville and Black River Roads be occupied again by a Valley Farm Market, Whole Foods Market, Trader Joe's, Weis, or Wegman's. Why has this building sat vacant for so long? Why is Giant the only game in town? I'm getting ready to contact all of these stores and ask them if they have even considered this. Perhaps the voice of the people will help. Maybe I'll get all of my friends to do the same.
