What is the Saucon Valley Spirit Parade Route?

Sunday's combined Saucon Valley Spirit and 4-County Fireman's parades will march down Main Street in Hellertown.

The route will be the same as last year's, but area residents should be aware that Sunday's combined Saucon Valley Spirit and 4-County Fireman's parades will result in temporary road closures and detours in Hellertown starting at 1:15 p.m.

Due to the number of participants in this year's expanded parade, organizers are requesting that spectators and participants carpool to the staging and viewing areas to help minimize congestion.

Motorists are also being reminded to refrain from moving temporary barricades.

As it has over the past couple of years, the spirit parade will begin on Walnut Street near Union Cemetery of Hellertown.

Lineup will be further up Walnut Street—next to the Saucon Valley School District campus—between noon and 1 p.m.

The large parade will begin to move at 2 p.m., marching west on Walnut before turning north onto Main Street at the traffic light.

The parade route will cut through the heart of downtown Hellertown before turning east onto Water Street at Borough Hall, and continuing in that direction along Rentzheimer Drive and Durham Street past the pool and Dimmick Park.

Finally, the parade route will take marchers south on Constitution Avenue, through the Mountainview neighborhood, and back to the school district campus.

While Main Street is closed, north-south traffic from Route 412 (Main Street) will be detoured onto Front Street.

More information about the parades and other special events planned for the Spirit Weekend is available online at: svspirit.weebly.com.
