Hurricane Irene is expected to bring heavy rain and winds gusting up to 60 mph to the Saucon Valley Saturday night into Sunday.
More rain falling on already-saturated ground could result in localized flooding, while high winds could down trees and lead to power outages. The American Red Cross and utility companies advise residents to have a storm kit handy in order to prepare for these situations.
