Tips to Help You Prepare for the Weekend Storm

High winds and heavy rain associated with Hurricane Irene are expected to impact our area this weekend.

Hurricane Irene is expected to bring heavy rain and winds gusting up to 60 mph to the Saucon Valley Saturday night into Sunday.

More rain falling on already-saturated ground could result in localized flooding, while high winds could down trees and lead to power outages. The American Red Cross and utility companies advise residents to have a storm kit handy in order to prepare for these situations.
