A temporary traffic pattern that will begin Friday at 7 p.m. and continue through Sunday, Nov. 17 will cause intermittent traffic stoppages and delays in the area of the Route 412/I-78 interchange in Hellertown and Bethlehem, PennDOT said.

According to information released by PennDOT Friday, the "new temporary traffic pattern is for construction of a roadway tie-in to newly constructed ramps related to the ongoing PA 412 reconstruction project."

The weekend work will continue around-the-clock, with traffic restricted to a single lane in each direction while flaggers help control the flow on and off the I-78 exit and entrance ramps, PennDOT said.
